Oh what a Night!!!!

Oh what a Night!!!......

It was Fabulous as usual.

It's Official! ........... We had

The Glenn Miller Orchestra!

...  (Back)   August 5th

How sad it's all over...maybe again next year

    ......................................

In her memory..... the family chose to help with

The nursing home Kip was at... (they are raising

money for a new bus) & the Woodward Fire Department.

At the Ballroom the dancers have chosen a new

popcorn machine in memory of Kip.

( funny our old one had just quit )

She use to come in & pop the popcorn first before she sold tickets.  We have a video with CBS - Bill Quest interviewing her as she pops the corn.

Besides the Popcorn machine we were able to get a bench too. So come out & sit some night & enjoy the popcorn.

I want to Thank everyone for their contributions. Also at the Potluck another donation was taken, we used  to help pay for the night.

and the band was nice enough to come in at a reduced price.

Thank you.

She was a Great Lady. We're all going to miss her.

Each Soul is a Beautiful  Flower

      that passes from this Earth...

...only to bloom again inHeaven's Garden

She worked 81 3/4 years at Lake Robbins Ballroom (6/13).

In our books she has broken the World's record in 2013

(last record recorded is 80 years)

She continued to help the Ballroom by putting stamps &     labels on our mailing cards....... I lost a wonderful friend.

Yes .... There was a Lake.

Mr. Robbins made a man-made lake & put an 8 sided cabin on it with a board walk. This was in the beginning of 1920's. He started building the Ballroom in 1929 & opened

November 11, 1931.

Herbie Kay out of Chicago was the Orchestra. His female vocalist was Dorthy Lamour.

She was 17 years old.

We will be Celebrating the Ballroom's  83rd Anniversary

Sunday Nov. 9, 2014
